The subsidy is as high as 4 billion yen, and Japan subsidizes people to install charging piles.

2023-03-09

In recent years, Japanese car manufacturers have actively laid out the lineup of pure tram products, and the Japanese government has also proposed corresponding car purchase subsidies for consumers to purchase new energy electric vehicles; According to the Nikkei News Network, the government will start to build a large number of charging piles in Tokyo, covering new cases and old houses. The goal is to reach the scale of 60,000 charging piles installed in Tokyo in 2030, which will be 150 times of the total of 393 by the end of 2021.

The installation subsidy covers self-owned houses/collective apartments, with an estimated amount of 40,000 to 50,000 households.

In Japan's domestic regulations, it will be required that new residential buildings completed two years later must be equipped with charging piles, and at the same time, the upper limit of the subsidy for installing charging piles in old residential buildings in 2023 will be increased to more than twice. The subsidy targets mainly cover residential buildings in Tokyo, and the number is expected to reach 40,000 to 50,000. Self-owned residential buildings, assembly communities and apartment buildings will also be applicable. It is hoped that the number of cars with pure tram models will be further increased through the popularization of charging piles.

In 2023, the annual budget exceeded 4 billion yen, moving towards the goal of half of zero-carbon new cars in 2030.

According to local data, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has allocated more than 4 billion yen for related expenses in the 2023 budget, and hopes to deploy more than 3,100 charging piles locally between 2023 and 2024, which is 15 times different from the budget for related projects in 2022. It is estimated that in 2025, the number of charging piles installed in new residential buildings in Tokyo will reach more than 20% of the number of parking spaces; At the same time, it is announced that it hopes to achieve the goal of zero-emission vehicles accounting for half of new car sales in 2030.

Gradually expand to other major cities in Japan, and the scope of subsidies includes pre-installation planning and field publication fees.

In addition to Tokyo, the subsidy for residential installation of charging piles has been extended to Chiba City and Yokohama City, and expanded to Chiba Prefecture and Kanagawa Prefecture in 2023. As for the subsidy amount, the subsidy ratio of the charging pile itself is 50% (the upper limit is 350,000 yen) and the subsidy ratio of the construction cost is 100% (the upper limit is 1.35 million yen); For the installation of old houses, the maximum subsidy for the construction cost of charging piles is 810,000 yen. In 2023, the subsidy for the construction cost of mechanical parking spaces will be increased to 1.71 million yen, covering the planning and field publication fees before installation.
